"I do respect people's faith, but I don't respect their manipulation of that faith in order to create fear and control." -Javier Bardem
Relation
This means that Javier Bordem is okay with people's beliefs and faiths, but he doesn't like it when those faiths aren't their own and someone else has manipulated their minds to believe something that they really don't. This kind of manipulation is deceiving, where one tries to alter someone else's ideas and opinion to benefit themselves. Someone is trying to change to faith of someone, to create fear and control. This is intentional manipulation by someone on another person to gain something or accomplish a goal. The intent of these people is to create fear in others and to be able to control them.
Javier Angel Encinas Bardem was born on March 1st, 1969. He is an actor. In 2007, he won the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor in the film No Country for Old Men. Bardem is a strong supporter of atheism.
This is an important concept because there will be many times throughout a lifetime that someone will want to use you to achieve something for their own benefit. It is a sad truth, but it is the real truth. For example, if you are in the cafeteria and someone says that they will pay you to go buy them a cookie, you are being manipulated. They would be using he money to change your mind, thus convincing you to purchase the cookie. This of course isn't an "evil" sort of manipulation, but it is manipulation...
