Throughout the creation of my Tapestry I learned a lot about the two forms of manipulation that I selected. I found that finding sources (novels, poetry, other media) that convey the type of manipulation in quotation one are much more difficult to find in sources the convey the type of manipulation shown in quotation two. I think that this is because quotation one is more abstract. Love, stereotypes, feelings, and so many other things can show this type of manipulation, whereas people manipulating other people is much more straight forward.
Both types of manipulation are the obscuring of thoughts, having people make decisions that aren't truly theirs. Whether this is due to a person, a stereotype, love, or other feelings, manipulation clouds your judgement.
I think that I have successfully met my goal stated in my introduction. By reading this Tapestry, people will learn about manipulation, the different types of manipulation, and the use of manipulation in various types of media.
Manipulation, unfortunately, is the sad shadow that covers our world. Many people don't respect the value of life, and therefore hurt others to gain things for themselves. This deception results in fear, anger, and sadness for many. A world without manipulation would be a world of trust, truth, and respect for others. Unfortunately though, that isn't the reality we live in.
